Hello Everyone,
Our close friend, Nigamanth Sridhar, will be participating for the Chicago Marathon on October 7, 2007 to support the cause of Asha and the projects that Asha supports. The projects that Asha supports work directly with the poor and underprivileged people of India. The grassroots organizations that Asha supports typically have very little overhead, ensuring that every dollar you donate goes to helping the poor.
Nigamanth is a professor at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has actively volunteered for Association for India’s Development (AID) and Asha for Education for the last eight years. I request to you to support him in this endeavor. His hope is to raise $2620 ($100 per mile). All expenses incurred during his training for the marathon will be absorbed by him and thus, all of your donations will go directly to benefiting Asha’s projects. Please visit the website to get more information about the marathon at http://www.ashanet.org/chicago/events/2007/marathon/index.php?page=program
You can donate online at https://www.ashanet.org/donate/

Khushi is in preparation to join the army squad. She crawls around the entire place… under the table, over the bed (no she doesn’t climb yet). Jumps on us while we try to sit in search of peaceful moments. She stands up holding ANYthing… coffee table, chair, us!! She babbles a lot and tries to communicate with us. Her favourite toy is still a ball. She enjoys playing with it, throws it and then runs (crawls) to catch hold of it again. She had a blast with her nana-nani and is having fun with her dada-dadi. She really tires them out. There have been moments when the grandparents have said… bas… have aane tu le, ame thaki gaya.
Here are some of her latest snaps. Enjoy!
Niagara Trip with Grandparents
Trip to Bronx Zoo with Neev Bhai & Parth Bhai
Time sure flies by very fast!!! Our lil’ princess is now 6 months old. She has started to sit up and loves her time in her high chair. She enjoys dropping her toys and then watch me pick them up again and again and again!! (part of my exercise regime these days
) Her latest fancy is the “Tennis Ball” (Watch out Ami-Avi… your competition on her way:)). She laughs so hard when I bounce it up against the wall with the sound effect… “Bubboom”
She has quite a personality. With ma she is quite an angel… and come evening, when pa arrives she’s a devil! Both of them have a blast and she loves pa tickling her. (Check out the video!)
Khushi is a people person. However, she takes a while to get adjusted in an environment before she can be herself. I take her out for strolls with Priti kaki and Parth bhai whenever the weather is fine. Khushi is very observant and coos a lot while on her outings. Can’t wait for her to run around the house. I am getting her Jhanjhar as soon as she takes her first step!!!
So much for now… waiting for her dada-dadi to arrive in a week’s time.

Njoy!!
Guys,
The US open starts on Aug 27th. I thought the tickets are on sale, but they are open for USTA members only. The regular tickets go on sale on June 11th. I was thinking of going over labor day weekend (2nd or 3rd sept) for the morning event (3rd or 4th round). Let me know if you guys are interested and the dates that you might want to watch and we can get tickets.
Ami, Avi, Dhiren & I had gone last year. It was a lot of fun. Lets plan.
Alright! Time for some life updates. We are moving….. to New York!
Vishal has accepted a new job offer with HSBC there. He is planning to join them around June 12th. I will be transferring within Ernst & Young and will be moving to NY by July 1st week. We will be soon looking for an apartment there and send you our updated whereabouts. We are nervous and excited about the move and Vishal’s new job. We are so glad to once again be with Parth-Priti-Dhiren. (They must think we are following them…………. Well!!! We are
!)
See ya’ll in NY.
P.S: Needless to say that you can crash at our place when you come to NY.
