Blood Clots/Stroke – They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue
I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!
STROKE:Remember the 1st Three Letters….S.T.R.
My nurse friend sent this and encouraged me to post it and spread the word.
I agree.
If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
Seriously..
Please read:
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall – she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening
Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital – (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don’t die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this…
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the ’3′ steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and
describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke ——– Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another ‘sign’ of a stroke is this: Ask the person to ‘stick’ out his tongue.. If the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
I have done my part. Have you?
I will post this, I know most of you know this.
IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT NAAN / ROTI / RUMALI ROTI ETC.,
1] NAN , KULCHA & RUMALI ROTI CANNOT BE MADE WITHOUT EGG in it. It is absolutely impossible for any one to make them without egg in a hotel. It will not be that soft and elastic through out the day and shall start to crack in some time.
2] Vegetarian Hotels can’t bring in eggs, so they get the Atta made ready form from local bakeries who prepare it for them and supply to all restaurants.
3] Even though all restaurant owners shall deny this but it is a fact and that others do not say it so as to not loose business. In fact they turn s blind eye on what the bakery wala adds to the atta mixture..
4] Plain Roti is the only item that a normal Vegeterian or a Jain can consume in a hotel.
All this stated above is 100% true and i shall request all of you to PLEASE give this detail to all your friends who are not only Jain but even Vegetarian
Hello,
If Jayanti Mama and Jaya Mami would recall our first visit to Hearst Castle when papa mummy had come, we had visited this castle on our way to Los Angeles from Sunnyvale, it was a great visit and we took their first basic tour in which the tour guide was flaunting having 14 language brochures but unfortunately did not have any Indian languages. I offered to do it for them and took their English brochure and got it translated in Hindi and Gujarati when i visited India in Jan 2007. I tried to follow up with them on my return but to no answer from them, i was kinda disappointed and left hope of they going with my translation work for their brochure.
Recently, I visited Hearst Castle again with some of my friends and I again asked them for Indian language brochures but they still did not have and our tour guide mentioned that they are actively looking for Hindi translation (guess what? I had that ready from 2 years back and their brochure hadn’t changed). I was excited at that thought and asked persuasively for contact of his manager or supervisor so that i could follow up and get the Hindi brochure printed.
Over the next 2 weeks, I worked with their manager to finalize the format and pricing. They offered to pay me 200$ for my work but no credit at all, I asked for my name to be printed on the brochure that is going to be published, it was either one that would be possible so I chose credit for my work as you see 200$ will be vanished in thin air in no time but my name would remain on that brochure for as long as Hearst Castle lives.
This work teaches me that perseverance pays always and no work or education you ever do in your life goes waste. It all comes back with a lot of interest and value. Stick to what you love to do in life, you will achieve it.
Also, attached is a copy of the Hindi Brochure.
Please click here to download the brochure,
The first half in the pdf would not be read backwards but if it is printed, that side would be folded on the back, that’s why but the rest of the pdf is on the front side.
Thanks,
Paras
