Dad,
I was looking up something cute and funny to post for your birthday, but nothing seemed to fit just right. Instead, I thought I would just write what I thought.

You have shown me so many things through the course of my life; I just want to let you know that I really do appreciate it.
Dad camping
One of the first things you taught me was to take charge and to define what I wanted to be surrounded by, both in terms of the people and the environment.

Cake
You taught me to take advantage of the sweet things in my life, like the cake that has a piece taken out of it. Along with that, you showed me through your own example that sweet things become more cherished when they are shared with others.

Sharing

You have shown me how to love someone with all your heart, while not expecting anything in return.
Family
There is a bond between our family that I don’t see in a lot of places.
You taught me the importance of facing things head on, whether they be the sunlight or the challenges facing me in life.

All in all, you are an amazing person who I have never failed to draw inspiration from. Thank you for being there for me, without question. I love the bond that we share and I’m sure it will continue to grow as we both do.

Happy Birthday Daddy!
