Asha for Education – Marathon 2007 (Request for your support)

Hello Everyone,

Our close friend, Nigamanth Sridhar, will be participating for the Chicago Marathon on October 7, 2007 to support the cause of Asha and the projects that Asha supports. The projects that Asha supports work directly with the poor and underprivileged people of India. The grassroots organizations that Asha supports typically have very little overhead, ensuring that every dollar you donate goes to helping the poor.

Nigamanth is a professor at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has actively volunteered for Association for India’s Development (AID) and Asha for Education for the last eight years. I request to you to support him in this endeavor. His hope is to raise $2620 ($100 per mile). All expenses incurred during his training for the marathon will be absorbed by him and thus, all of your donations will go directly to benefiting Asha’s projects.
