Hi, my name is Jodi and I am a casting producer for ABC’s hit show
Wife Swap. I am seeking Jain families for our 4th season! Would you
or someone you know be interested in applying?

If you haven’t seen the show, don’t be confused by the title – this is
a family show on ABC. The premise of Wife Swap is simple: two moms
from two different families get the opportunity to swap places for one
week to experience what it’s like to live a different lifestyle – and
to see what they can teach each other about their own!

Potential families can live anywhere in the United States. Families
must consist of two parents that have at least one child, age 6 or
older. Families on the show will receive a $20,000 honorarium. ABC
pays $1,000 as a finders’ fee to anyone who recommends a family that
ends up on the show.

I was reading BBC news online and found these two articles that bash vegan and vegetarian diets. Some of the claims made here are based on poor quality studies conducted by the “National Cattleman’s Beef Association”. Especially in the first article where the vegan couple in Georgia was jailed for life because their son died. Some parts of the article to suggest that the vegan diet is to blame for their son’s death. Where really it’s the parents that did not know what and how to feed their baby, especially when the baby was only 3.5 pounds at 6 weeks, they refused to take the baby to a hospital. I am posting these articles because I want to put this out to you guys and see if there is any thing we can do to counter these articles. Are there people that we can write to about this? are there petitions that we can fill out and send to BBC? I can just see someone in the future arguing for a non-veg diet and say that “well there were these articles on BBC that said that “it is unethical to feed children with a vegan diet, and that a 6 week baby died because he was on a vegan diet”.
