Our Deepest Fear
Posted by Nimit February 6th, 2007
You may have read this quote before, but for those of you who haven’t take a look. It has started ringing more true to me lately than ever, so I thought I would share with you.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
fabulous, talented? Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of the Spirit. Your playing small
does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of the Spirit
that is within us. It is not just in some of us;
it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.-Marianne Williamson
This quote was used by Nelson Mandela during his 1994 inaugural speech.

Nice quote nim,
I really like this quote as well and i think about it all the time, for me it goes on the same line as the spider man line “with great power comes great responsibility”
our company has a personal profile for all of us.. things like fav food, fav sport, fav quote etc.. this one is the quote i chose for that.

Glad you liked it. It really speaks loudly to me. The amount of impact one soul can have on the fate of his or her world is indeed intimidating.

Yeah. this quote definitely speaks volumes about how powerful we are. I particularly liked the last line where in he says “As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others” .

Nice quote Nimit and as we think and live life day to day, we have to live up to our measure and the Yardstick that we have we have to constantly stand up to that. You are so right that we are always trying to beat our own expectations and it is hard at times and sometimes we may fail to do so but we succeed many times and that is where the respect for the life comes in.
Bravo
