I am sorry to convey the message that Duncan’s Uncle Doug (Doug Maasa) expired this morning due to a heart attack. This is a shocking news to the family. Duncan was very close to him, so it is indeed a big loss.
Some of us will be attending the funeral. Duncan is on his way to Cape Cod and Usha and I will go along with Sheela once the arrangements are worked out.

Thanks for the words of comfort. WE attended the funeral and service and burial. Jayanti Bhai, Jaya, Jyoti, Anil mama and ManiBen joined also. It was a unique ceremony. For the Visitation, attendees wore Hawaaian shirt, and it was a “Celebration” of life, rather than mourning. Earleir in the morning, they had a Memorial Bike Ride in the honor of Doug Masa. Some 20 people joined for a 20 mile ride.
For Service 300 people were present. Reception was a country club, with 125 people attending to respect for Doug.
Doug was founder and CEO of Convention Data Services. The Company has over 100 employees.
He was a very friendly and engaging person with humble manners. For Sheela and Duncan’s wedding, he interrupted his West Coast BIke Marathon. We also ahd the opprtunity to spend some tiem with him in Florida, last Christmas.
He will be sorely missed by his family members and friends.
