Aj aye Aashadhi Beej munje mani Kachchhi bhavareke nave varas jyu jiji jiji Vadhayu. Let us remember our Kachchhi qualities on this day. Khakhat, khant and Khamir. Paras will you explain the deep meaning of these priceless words? Let me write a two liner for my beloved Kachchh.
Kheri ,beri ane bavari, Hakada kandha ane bya kakh
Halo bhavar Kachchhde halo, jit Madu sava lakh.
Kachchhdo khele khalakme, ji mahasagar mein machchh
Jit jit hakado kachchhi vase ut diyadi kachchh.

Whatever two lines mama wrote for Kutch was difficult to understand for me, so i guess everybody will have some questions or some words unclear, so here i write down the english translation for everybody to understand. Thanks to Harakh mama for explaining me. I hope i have done a correct translation
I am writing two lines for my village Kutch:
In Kutch, you will find
“Kheri” - One type of jhad with long leaves.(in gujarati it is khakhare jo jhad)
“beri” - ber(fruit) and
“bavari” - (the one we use as dantan in india to brush our teeth)
These are all cheap fruits and the Kavi tells that the land is not fertile and there is no good vegetation here. Then, wat is special about Kutch?
He says “Halo bhavar Kutchde halo, jit Madu sava lakh“. - Welcome my brother to Kutch because each person is worth 1.25 lakhs.
“Kutchdo khele khalakme, jit mahasagar mein machchh
Jit jit hakado kutchi vase ut diyadi kutch.” -
Kutch pradesh plays in the entire universe the same way as a fish plays in the ocean.
Whr one kutchi resides, he creates a kutchi environment around.

good job Paras, I have to offer one correction,The word” Madu sava lakh ” That really means, exclusive good people, for which you can not put price on The word’ sava’ represent better than average and’ lakh’ in those time was of tremendous value. The word’ halo’ means, let’s go.

Happy new year to all kutchis. Ashadhi bij is such a special day in kutchi community. I remember going to watch wonderful music and drama performances in bombay to celebrate ashidhi bij.

This year, to celebrate the Kutchi New Year, the minister of Gujarat came to Mandhvi and there was a huge mela to celebrate.
