Hi Everyone!
I haven’t posted in a while so I thought I’d update all of you about my India trip. So far, I’ve been having a blast! Right now, I am visiting Jyoti Masi in Pune, but I had been going to the dental clinics in Bombay everyday. The first week I was in India, I stayed in Goregaon and went to Dr. Jeetu Shah’s dental clinic in Dhaisar. I would travel to Borivali by train and then take a rickshaw the rest of the way. That dental clinic had about four chairs and about 6 dentists. They also have specialized dentists come in when called for particular cases. This was a good starting point for my research. Next, I started going to Dr. Dinesh Patel’s dental clinic in Ghatkopar. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I walked into his office. It is definitely one of the nicest dental clinics I have seen in Bombay. They have top of the line equipment, each chair has a computer attached where you can see the x-rays and other animations that explain the treatment that is to be given. This dental clinic has two main dentists, both are very nice and willing to show me different things. So far, I have surveyed 101 patients (I”ve hit a century for all your cricket fans out there
). I’ve been really enjoying my work here. Although I can’t actually work directly in the patient’s mouth, I’ve learned a lot just by observing. Many of routine procedures here include root canals, extractions, etc. Although I haven’t learned any of these procedures in my dental school so far, I have become much more familiar with the basic steps of the procedure, and therefore, actually performing the steps myself next year will be a lot easier. I’ve also gotten to see quite a few variations and different cases that are not as common in the general population.
Other then my dental clinic work, I’ve just been enjoying playing with Amay and Arth, spending time with other family members. I also got to attend Ladhi’s wedding the second week I was here and got to meet a lot of my cousins. We also went to Devlali for two days to see Ma and Bapa’s new home and put a Khumb. I’ll try and upload some pictures from my trip soon!
Love, Ami

Hey everyone,
We have posted some new pictures of Parth on his blog… Last weekend was great fun with Baia and Harakh kaka visiting us in NY. Parth kept staring at Baia whenever she was in the room. Baia was singing old peotry to him. He was carefully listening to her sing and smiling every now and then. Enjoy the pictures…

Alright! Time for some life updates. We are moving….. to New York!
Vishal has accepted a new job offer with HSBC there. He is planning to join them around June 12th. I will be transferring within Ernst & Young and will be moving to NY by July 1st week. We will be soon looking for an apartment there and send you our updated whereabouts. We are nervous and excited about the move and Vishal’s new job. We are so glad to once again be with Parth-Priti-Dhiren. (They must think we are following them…………. Well!!! We are
!)
See ya’ll in NY.
P.S: Needless to say that you can crash at our place when you come to NY.
Hello all,
Last week I had my first haircut in NY. I went to a new barbershop–Streetgang.com. Here’s how the conversation went—The barbers are standing outside talking. As I touch the door one of them says–what’s up yo. I said–I need a haircut. The man (barber) says–thats cool, hop in. (here I am wondering–should I go in or not. I decide to try it out–the interior was one of the most fanciest barber shop I had seen with the best seats and a big screen TV.
conversation continues–
what number blade yo–I am not sure so I tell him just cut a bit of hair and make it look decent—he says–thats cool.
So what you up to–I say nothing much, just working. he says—thats cool.
I see some trophies on the desk. I asked him where he get these from… Boxing–we box in the free time. than I notice some weights on the floor. I point to them–he says this is a training place for the barbers when they are free.
Intrigued I asked them why name a barber shop streetgang.com.. he said we wanted somethin cool.
Anyways he is busy cutting my hair and I was surprised to see the agility and his moves in cutting my hair.
In end he did cut my hair a bit too short in the back and a bit long in front, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

Hi everyone …
Ashish is leaving for some training to Oregan for a week and during that time I am going to be in New York with Bhavesh & Taral and later with Parthu….
I am excited to be with Parth …… He is such a darling and it feels so good to see Parth growing so lovingly with his parents. Its almost an enhanced flashback of Neev for me ……
Parthu …. Neev bhai is coming soon to play with you.
PS: Also, all of you should see Neev’s India pictures on his site…
