Taking a shower is a great feeling…
Posted by Priti March 29th, 2006
This might seem like an embarrasing type of post. But hey, that’s what family is for. You can be yourself and don’t have to worry about saying anything, right
Dhiren had been leaving early and coming late for the past couple days. And as we shifted Parth from his cradle to crib for his naps and sleep, he had been a little fussy and not taking his usual naps. So I was playing with him and trying to put him to sleep almost for whole days. In the midst of all this, I never had a chance to take a shower for past 2 days
because unless Parth falls sound asleep, I can’t leave him alone to take even a quick shower. Today Dhiren had some free time in the afternoon, so he came home for couple hours. First thing that came to mind and I told him, “let me go take a shower”. And I swear, being in the shower had never felt so good. What a refreshing experience!

I wiil agree with you Priti. Shower is realy blessing to all the animals. How you become fresh that is a subject of science but I know when you rub your body you are doing accupressure points. Body get clean and the blood circulation improves. Anyway I only take five minutes in bath.

the experience of taking a shower is great as it is, but I think I have some of my best thoughts in the shower. Must be something related to the hot water and aveda shampoo

Priti, I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, when I’m really busy and not getting any sleep, I’ll skip a day of showering just so I can sleep a little longer. But after that, when you finally get to take the shower, it feels like the best and most refreshing shower every!
Can you imagine having it like our dad’s used to where they used to shower with the one bucket all the time

Hey Ami, Parth Still takes a shower with 1 bucket of water every day. With all of our shower experiences I might have to talk with him to change his bathing practices.

Actually showering with one bucket is not that hard ami. I do it when i’m in jaykar everyday. The story you are trying to remember is when they showered with just one can of water (is that what it is called…can? you know what i mean)….

You should ask Veer about fun in shower, half an hour !!!! too less, He is in a different world all together where time and such boundries are not present.
Well, bath can be good stress reliever. Nimit and Ami did dad tell you the “jai bujrang bali ‘ bath story? in kuchchh bidada. No hot water coming from the tap.
Priti you are getting used to managing home and parth alone, you will have to grab more of these moments and enjoy when you have chance

Shower is always a great experience and fun to do. It of course cleans you but I don’t know if we really need all the water we use daily. I think that is waste and we remember going to DHOBIGHAT in BIDADA for bath may be once a month and that was also a chore in winter months when cold water is coming and someone has to lterally push you to take bath.
We also used the foamy dirt gatherings in Nana BHADIA ( Fui’s village) before bath and used that as a soap to rub on body.
Best bath I remember was in small well in BHADIA may be 10 feet deep and you spend all the time there.
Other was when you go to river (mostly dry) and try to dig deep and hope to get some water to use for bath and washing clothes.
Those days were precious and will always be remembered.
Priti try to sneek in a bath once in awhile but you are always excused with Parth.
Love your story and thanks for putting it up on Medavo

i don’t really know what you are doing in there for one hour veer. one can admire his own face for only so long
this reminds me of a sher:
andaaz apne dekh te hain aayine mein wohh
aur yeh bhi dekh te hain, ki koi dekh ta na ho…

I really enjoyed this post…
. Taking showers are so much fun, but I think the fun part is really the fact that it’s HOT water (I like the water to be HOT!!) and that it’s those pouring showers. I don’t think showering with cold buckets would have been fun
. Parth should be a good boy and let mommy shower!!

dhen, I’m not sure parth even knows that he is a boy yet, wanting to be a good boy is still far away

Don’t be offended yaar. While I am at it, I would like to mention that I am still looking forward to the parth-neev long distance pee contest.
