Hello fellow Medavoers! Today, it has been exactly 6 months (180 days) since the opening of Medavo.org. Not only that, this post is also the 200th post on Medavo. This is quite a remarkable landmark in the growth of our site. I wanted to thank each of you for reading, posting, and commenting. You have definitely enriched all of our lives with your contributions. I look forward to continuing this medavo with all of you for many years to come :)

I also wanted to note that if there is a family member out there who would like to be able to post/comment on Medavo.org but doesn’t have a user/password, please just email me to request one! The more the merrier!

Now for the ever popular stats. I hope these stats will encourage others to post and not start a competition about who can post and comment the most. We would always prefer quality over quantity :) You may also want to compare these stats with the stats from our 2 month anniversary to see the growth!:

In todays world of online banking, (which I presume most of us do), we have to be really vigilant and make sure that scammers dont hack in to our personal profiles. last weekend I was trying to log on to our bank website -chase-to view our account. The website froze in between a couple of times not letting me go beyond the log in page. this had never happened before. But as I was busy at work I decided to check on it later. After returning home from my call in connecticut today The same thing happened when I was trying to log on but this time the message was –your password is not valid. At the same time I received an email from chaseonline@alerts.chase.com saying that –

During our regularly scheduled account maintenance and verification procedures, we have detected a slight error in your billing information.
This might be due to either of the following reasons:

1. A recent change in your personal information (i.e. change of address,e-mail address).
2. An inability to accurately verify your selected option of payment due to an internal error within our processors.

Please click the link below to update your account . If the link isn’t clickable, please copy the entire link, paste it into your Web browser’s address bar and press “Enter” on your keyboard.

I had read a similar earlier post at MEDAVO–so before clicking on any link I called my banker at chase to verify that they had indeed sent this email. The answer–No CHASE NEVER SENDS OUT EMAILS TO CUSTOMERS.

So again dont give out personal information on sites without knowing about the site. Another important lesson I learnt was that use your personal computer only to access bank sites. General computers at work may not be the right place to do banking. I am glad I read Medavo and did not click the site. Thanks everybody….
