While I have been in California this break, Nimit and I have gone sightseeing, gotten kicked out of places, made tons of food, etc. Most you may have read about our experiences in the other post. However, now Nimit wanted me to meet some of his friends around California. After a week of experimenting with different types of foods and dinners, we decided to try our skill on some of his friends. So today, Nimit and I made an Asian and Thai mixed dinner for about 10 other people. I cleaned part of his apartment during the day and then went and picked him up from work. By the time we got home, we only had about a half hour before his friends would start arriving, so we had to work really fast. Nimit cooked the tofu on a pan while I cooked all the vegetables. I also cooked some noodles along the side. Once that was done, I got started on frosting the cake. That was a diaster because the cake pan, which was supposed to be non-stick, seemed to turn out to be a extra sticking pan. The cake ended up breaking a little while we took it out, however, we got that problem fixed soon. Finally, we put all the ingredients together with a special sauce and our dinner was made! People started arriving and we soon gave out the food. Everyone loved our creation. Once the main dish was finished, we decided to make some of Nimit’s secret banana and berry smoothie. Another success. Finally, we ended the dinner with the cake. Although it may not have looked the prettiest, it definitely tasted just as good as the rest of the dinner After that, we all just sat around and talked for a bit. Finally, the night ended with our tour of the Yahoo! Campus. In the Yahoo buildings we had a little fun with Sayli and I playing some Air Hockey and the two of us and Nimit and Dave playing some foosball. Finally, we finished checking out the rest of the place. Tonight was definitely a night of fun and success!!!
