From the monthly archives: February 2006

As most of you know, our house has been invaded recently while Mitesh was at home. Two people entered the home, told Mitesh to turn around and sleep with his face down as they took whatever they wanted. Some good things were: 1) Mitesh wasn’t hurt, 2) They didn’t take any jewelry or anything extremely valuable – other than a laptop. The bad part of it was that I’ve lost a lot of information on the laptop & lost 2 cellphones, digital camera, watch and some dollars.

We filed a police report and all that, but that rarely ever does anything in Chicago.

We have decided on moving to a new apartment building. This one has excellent security including a 24 hr doorman. We are both looking forward to the move, which will happen before the end of February.

We will keep you updated…

i havent been a very active poster…not because im busy…well, i have sooo many tests coming up :( one tomorrow in World Cultures, a geography test on East Asia. then a Math test on monday, and a spanish test that same day. the math test is going to be for two days!!! then EMTs (i think thats it)…stupid standardized testing. then another vocab thing on monday, but that has to be moved if its a test because we cant have more than two tests a day :) then another spanish test on monday, march 6th…then 4 days till spring break (march 10–march 27). then after that, a very long 2 months till summer (YAY!). oh and the 8th grade goes to New York on march 1st for some field trip. fun…well, i’ve got homework now, so Sayonara!

Nilam please post some pictures of Neev on medavo or Neev.maru.us its been more then a month since we have seen any pictures.. I know you are going to Karla for your treatment on Thursday please post something before that…

thanks in advance for dealing with slow connections and any computer troubles you will have to deal with to post the pictures… ;)

We had a little reunion with my homework group from Landmark Wisdom course that I was taking last year. Its about 10 people in the group and I was telling them about medavo and how we are all using it in our family. I just found my self getting really excited as I was telling them the kind of posts we put and how its so cool to keep in touch with everyone. I was surprised by the amount of excitement I had about medavo. I guess I didn’t tell too many people about it in that much detail before. Anyways one of the guys in our group is a computer programmer and he is going to make a blog for our homework group now… we will see if it catches as much action as Medavo … that would be cool.

I was also surprised because other then the programmer and my self no one else knew what a blog was when I started talking about it.

Finally that idiot has been jailed. He was sent to jail for one year for hunting endangered species. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4723184.stm

He is also involved in a trial in Mumbai.

“One person was killed and three others injured when Khan allegedly drove into a group of homeless people sleeping on a pavement. Khan faces 10 charges, including causing death by negligent driving which carries two years in prison. He has pleaded not guilty on all counts. ”

I heard this one song from Jodi No. 1 called Karoon Kya, and suddenly I got this jatka to go work out. The only problem was that it was 11:50 pm. So I thought…hmm, maybe I shouldn’t. But then I thought, arre, aise jatke roj roj nahi lagte. So I just decided to get my mp3 player filled with some songs and then go work out :) I got to the gym at 12:15 am or so, and worked out till 1 am or so. It was fun, my arms are sore again, and it feels good.

I hope this jatka sparks a new adventure in working out for a while :) Hope everyone is well…and yes, the tooth doesn’t hurt on its own…but it hurts when I put pressure on it.
