Hey guys! Just wanted to say hello. Paras and I have been having quite a blast here the last few days. We have done a lot of stuff, gotten Paras prepared for his grad school and now we are about to leave for LA.
Some of the things we did include:
- Go to Mystery Spot
- Take 49 mile drive around San Francisco
- Go Ice skating in San Francisco
- Go to video game arcade (”My Three Sons” Ashish?
)
In the middle, Paras got a nice all around introduction to how to survive alone in the US (everything from shopping for clothes to laundry to using kitchen appliances, etc etc).
I have posted some of the pictures we have taken this week on flickr, so take a look here:

Dear Paras,
What you did in Singapore was what I did there when I went there in 1990 and had tremendous fun there, that is one of the best and clean countries there is and very safe, also had lot of fun going on train and going all around there, your description brought lot of memories
Would love to see pictures of same.
Welcome ” Home”

Hey all… Missed all the action on Medavo for the past 3 days…. But, to let you know.. I enjoyed my short 3 day vacation in Singapore very much… Ohh.. b4 writing.. let me tell u i am right now in the airport lounge waiting to board the flight. I am getting free internet access over here
Trip details:
Day1 : Reached Singapore at 8:15 am and reached Meraj’s house at 9:30am. Rested the afternoon and in the evening went to Tampines Mall. Did some window Shopping
…and bought rail and bus pass for transportation in and around Singapore.
Day 2: Spoke to Nimit abd then on a conference call to Dipti and Veer… Wow… kya connection tha?? (Singapore - Sunyvale - Connecticut. )..
Visited Sentosa island… It is an island resort. Went to the beach. Rode the KAYAK. Visited the Oceanarium, Merilion(half lion - half fish), went to the dolphin lagoon and isited the dolphin show… it was amazing. Then, visied the city which is between Raffles place and City Hall railway station. Took some nice pictures … went home.. had dinner and off to sleep..
Day 3: Early morning, left for Jurong Bird Park. It is one of the biggest and has around 9000 species of birds. Went into a closed enclosure in the park where there are lots of colourful birds and you feed them and they are all over you. Sitting on your hands and your back.. I have taken some good pictures.. Will upload soon… Then, from there left for The most awaited and exciting ride… BUNGY Jumping…… Man!!!! Majaa aa gaya… U go 0 to 200km/hr in 2 seconds… I was a bit scared but took the ride… I also have taken a dvd recording of my bungy jumping….
…From, there went to Night Safari at the SIngapore Zoo…. They took you in a tram all over the zoo… Animals are kept in their natural habitat and you areso close to them… Saw all animals… Lion, Tigers, Buffaloes, Rhinocerous, Porcupines, Leopard, Bats(i was so close to them).. Came back home .. had dinner ,… was very tired… imediately off to sleep…
Day 4: (Last day of my trip) … Woke up late… watched some movie on the TV(i don’t even know the name of the movie but some good action movie):) .. simultaneously did packing also…. Spoke to Nimit bhai and informed him about my arrival to the US of A.
.. Also, spoke to mummy, papa, bai … and informed them about my good health and the fun that i had … Booked the taxi and reached Changi airport Terminal 2 at 2:15pm. When i went to check in my luggage at the counter… the lady at the counter told me that Bag overweight hai… Please remove 4 kgs and 3 kgs respectively from the big bags… I was like NOOOOOOOOO…. Pls… spare me… I am not repacking my big bags… But finally It’snot INDIA…. Had to re pack my bags.. Did that effectively… Put all the removed luggage from my big bags in my hand bag and kaam ho gaya
( Saman idhar ka udhar karo aur udhar ka idhar)
The lady at the counter was helpful…
This long detailed explanation is my trip… Thank you for being patient and reading through the entire thing…
One more thing,…. I know some of you were upset about me going to Singapore … you all directly wanted me to come directly to America… I know you wanted me to be safe and reach US first….But… U want to know this little guy is very daring … Khud ka rasta khud dhund lega…
… After all i have all your good wishes and blessings with me…
Love,

Since Neev has come to Connecticut, he has become more attached to Parth. He wants to be in the same room as Parth, sit him on his lap, rock his cradle. He imitates Parth’s actions…. when asked Parth ki ruye–he says Uaan Uaan…..when asked Parth ruye ta koro karejo–he says haan haan haan….Yesterday when Neev was eating a slice of apple, Parth began to cry for some reason, Neev came near Parth and brought his slice of apple near Parth’s mouth and said haan haan. It’s lot of joy for us to see both of them grow together.

Just got back from watching Syriana. It was an ok movie…I wouldn’t suggest you spend more than $5 to see it (meaning, if you *want* to see it, just wait for the dvd). Wish I had seen Walk the Line instead. I think next weekend I will go watch Bluffmaster with Paras
I am also currently watching the India Sri Lanka test match. Very surprised at pathan’s performance…he is looking to shape up to be a fine all rounder for India. Was also glad to see Laxman’s century. I’ve always liked VVS…and hopefully this will help calm some of his critics! We are on 334 for 7 right now. Pathan is on 75. Hope we can at least push it to 400!
Hope everyone had a sweet weekend
Back to work tomorrow!

Ok, so i’m finally done with what feels like a looooong week of exams. Shouldn’t I be excited? I’m done with what many say is the worst semester in law school. No more Business Organizations and NO more Fed Income Tax! But for some reason guys, i’m feeling low… I missed a pretty big issue in one of the questions on my last exam and I realized only on my way home. Anyone have any words of wisdom of encouragement?

Hi Everyone,
So my first post is a warning.
Today I received an email supposed to be from “PayPal” saying that my transaction of $385 for a watch was completed. As I had never made such a transaction, I was shocked… At the bottom, there was a tab saying “if you did not make this transaction, click on (the button) ‘dispute your claim.’ When I clicked it sent me to a form to fill out all details of my PayPal account including name, password, and credit card.
I asked Dhenu what was going on and she said that you have to fill this form. But I wanted to click on help for customer care. That webpage did not work. Then Dhenu noticed that the webaddress did not have “paypal” in it. The help page also did not work. So we opened a new browser and went to PayPal and changed the password & checked our details and no such transaction had been made.
Furthermore, in emails from PayPal, they include the warning to open a new browser every time to enter their website. Moral of the story: Don’t get too panicked/excited to see something unusual
. Here is the link. Don’t enter any credit card information or user name or password, but try to click on the help button and all the buttons will click together.
